Sankardev College has been a RUSA beneficiary college in both RUSA 1.0 as well as RUSA 2.0.
Financial assistance was received by the college which was under Equity Initiative Fund. This is one component where the students of the college had gained maximum benefit and its implementation is over a span of more than five years, and is still continuing during this present academic year, even as the fund is almost exhausted. The following are some of the programmes and initiatives undertaken with the financial assistance from the Equity Initiative Fund, under RUSA.

The amount meant for Infrastructure Development Grant, was divided in the ratio of 35%-35% and 30% between New Construction, Renovation and Procurement respectively
New Construction: The new facility funded by RUSA 1.0 and 2.0, that houses the Auditorium and the PG Block
Renovation:
- The Retaining Wall funded by RUSA is now below the Basketball Court, where about two meters of the Basketball Court is above the Minus level floor of the newly constructed building to be used as Parking Lot
- The RCC Gallery funded by RUSA is above the Minus level floor of the newly constructed building to be used as Parking Lot
- The Stone Masonry Gallery funded by RUSA is at the opposite direction of the RCC Gallery, that is on the other side of the Basketball Court of the College
- The Basketball Court funded by RUSA was realigned to make space for the new building of the College
- The Walls of the Corridors in all the floors of the existing college building was tiled under Renovation Head funded by RUSA.
- Renovation of the Principal’s Chamber was done funded by RUSA Status
- The Staff Room was completely furnished and renovated under the renovation head funded by RUSA). This includes the complete overhaul of the entire room, which also includes the separate toilets for male and female teachers.

RUSA 2.0: another financial assistanacewas received by the college is the amount meant for Infrastructure Development Grant, which was divided in the ratio of 50%-30% and 20% between New Construction, Renovation and Procurement respectively.
New Construction: Construction of the Auditorium
Renovation: Replacing the roof of the entire Old Building with Dyna roofing and furnishing the entire section of the old library to house the botany lab and two big classrooms
Procurement: Lift, Generator, etc
